ICE released its FY 2010 – 2014 strategic plan. ICE plans to seek better statutory tools to address illegal employment, invest more resources to remove aliens who overstay nonimmigrant visas and solicit proposals for at least four regional detention facilities.

TRAC issued a news release on an increase in federal immigration prosecutions. According to TRAC, recent DOJ figures indicate that there were 8,287 immigration prosecutions in March 2010, more than in any month since July 2009.

As of 6/11/10, USCIS receipted 27,778 H-2B petitions, including approved and pending, towards the 47,000 beneficiaries target for the 2nd half of FY 2010. Beneficiaries target is the estimated number of petitions needed to reach the cap and is higher than the actual cap.

USCIS announced that a new version of the Application to Replace Permanent Resident Card (Form I-90) is available on the USCIS website. USCIS will accept previous versions of Form I-90 until 07/28/10.
