DOL published notice in the Federal Register on a change to the Office of Foreign Labor Certification’s (OFLC) process for issuing final H-2B labor certification decisions for applications with a start date of need between April 1 and September 30, 2018.

USCIS announced that it has received enough petitions as of March 26, 2015, to reach the H-2B cap for FY2015. As such, USCIS will reject any new H-2B petitions that request a start date before October 1, 2015, and were received after March 26, 2015.

As of 6/11/10, USCIS receipted 27,778 H-2B petitions, including approved and pending, towards the 47,000 beneficiaries target for the 2nd half of FY 2010. Beneficiaries target is the estimated number of petitions needed to reach the cap and is higher than the actual cap.
