DOL Update on Prevailing Wage Determinations

The DOL Office of Foreign Labor Certification announced that it plans to be “current” on prevailing wage determinations as follows: PERM–week of 10/23/11; H-1B–week of 11/6/11; H-2B—week of 12/18/11

FY2012 H-1B Cap Count (Updated 10/11/11)

USCIS updated its count of FY2012 cap-subject H-1B petitions and advanced degree cap-exempt petitions receipted. As of 9/23/11, approximately 36,300 H-1B cap-subject petitions were receipted. USCIS has receipted 17,700 H-1B petitions for aliens with advanced degrees.

USCIS has suspended the requirement

USCIS has suspended the requirement that H-1B, H-1B1, L, O-1A petitioners complete the export controls/ITAR questions on the I-129 form until February 20, 2011.
