USCIS confirmed that it will no longer reject Form I-589, Application for Asylum and for Withholding of Removal; Form I-612, Application for Waiver of the Foreign Residence Requirement; and Form I-918, Petition for U Nonimmigrant Status, if an applicant leaves a blank space. USCIS stated that it has reverted to the form rejection criteria it applied before October 2019 regarding blank responses for all forms.

On February 24, USCIS published updated versions of several forms. For many of the forms, starting February 24 only the new edition will be accepted.

On December 2, USCIS posted updated editions to forms N-470, N-300, I-817, I-751, I-694, I-601, I-290B, I-192, I-191, I-129CW, and I-907. The new edition must be used immediately for Form I-907. The new edition must be used starting January 21, 2020 for Form I-817. The new edition must be used starting February 3, 2020 for forms N-470, I-751, I-601, I-290B, I-192, I-191, and I-129CW. The previous edition will continue to be accepted for forms N-300 and I-694.

On November 21, USCIS published new versions of Form G-1450, Authorization for Credit Card Transactions; Form I-694, Notice of Appeal of Decision Under Sections 245A or 210 of the Immigration and Nationality Act; Form I-824, Application for Action on an Approved Application or Petition; and Form I-817, Application for Family Unity Benefits. For forms G-1450 and I-694, the previous edition will continue to be accepted. For forms I-824 and I-817, the new edition must be used starting 1/21/20.

USCIS has updated editions of Form AR-11, Change of Alien’s Address Card; Form G-325A, Biographic Information (for Deferred Action); Form I-929, Petition for Qualifying Family Member of a U-1 Nonimmigrant; Form I-612, Application for Waiver of the Foreign Residence Requirement; and Form I-589, Application for Asylum and for Withholding of Removal. The previous edition of each form will be accepted until varying dates in December.
