USCIS Reminds Applicants of Filing Location Changes for Naturalization and Citizenship Forms Starting 10/30/11

USCIS Update on Processing Changes for Naturalization and Citizenship Forms

USCIS update on the centralization of receipting for various N-Forms at the Dallas and Phoenix Lockbox facilities beginning on 10/30/11. As of 12/5/11, local offices will no longer forward these forms and applicants will be instructed to re-submit to the appropriate Lockbox.

Alabama Probate Court Notifies Attorneys on New Citizenship Requirements

A 10/3/11 memorandum from the Alabama Office of the Judge of Probate, notifying attorneys that as a result of the newly enacted HB 56, the court is now required verify the Alabama citizenship of everyone doing business with the court.

USCIS Announces FY2011 Citizenship and Integration Grant Program Recipients

USCIS press release announcing $9 million in grants awarded to 42 organizations in 27 states and Washington, D.C., to expand citizenship preparation programs for permanent residents. The funding was awarded through the agency’s Citizenship and Integration Grant Program.
