There are many countries in the world that do not require formal issuance of a visa to visit the United States. If you are from one of those countries, then you are eligible to come in on either the visa waiver for pleasure as a tourist visa (WT).

Hi,
I am a nurse and I have a pending US Immigrant Visa application filed by my employer last 2006, already approved by the visa center (I think) but due to retrogression, it was put on hold but my employer have kept following it up.
Going to the US for a visit has always be for my family’s dream tour destination.
While waiting for our Immigrant Visa, is it possible for us to get hold of a US tourist visa?
I am hoping that with the tourist visa, we will be able to tour the US, specifically the community where I am supposed to work, so I can weigh the pros and cons and decide objectively if we really are to pursue my American dream, however, long it takes, or decide to migrate and work as a nurse in another country.
