CBP announced that it is setting up a temporary holding facility adjacent to the Donna-Rio Bravo International Bridge in Donna, Texas, to provide additional capacity for unaccompanied children and family units in CBP custody at Ports of Entry and U.S. Border Patrol stations in the South Texas area. The temporary site can currently hold up to 500 people, but CBP stated that it will regularly assess whether to expand this facility or keep it operational based on the number of people arriving in the area.

CBP press release announcing amended operating hours for the dedicated NEXUS lane at the Alexandria Bay, NY port of entry. From 3/1/12, the new hours of operation for the NEXUS lane will be from 7:00am to 5:00pm Monday through Friday and 10:00am to 2:00pm Saturday & Sunday.

CBP press release announcing that a Ready Lane will be opened at the San Ysidro port of entry later this year and encouraging travelers to get the appropriate RFID-enabled travel documents now, to utilize the new lane. CBP will announce the opening date once it has been set.
