Now that the Health Care is law and the debates (for now) are over, President Obama can begin pushing Immigration Reform. There are over 12 million people who are illegally here in the U.S. and it is critical that we get an immigration reform system that does not tear family apart and deport fathers and mothers from their children. Otherwise, many more people will need a deportation attorney. There are many people and immigration attorneys that want immigration reform. There are even radio shows on immigration reform. Immgration Lawyers are blogging all over about immigration reform. Large news organizations such as CNN are posting articles on Immigration reform.
Many people believe you will not have immigration reform unless President Obama is serious about enforcement. However, deportations are up and the immigration laws are definitely being enforced. A big march is planned to hopefully get the process started. Thus, it is not just President Obama that controls where immigration reform is entacted or not.

Well Personally you would think that these ‘illegal immigrants’ would take their families with them while being deported. The only reason they are not taking them with them is simple. They are going to cross back over again violating our nations borders and law.

this all reminds of the novel, “Uncle Juan’s Cabin” which paints a fictional yet realistic portrait of where the country may be headed. Anchor babies, deportation, etc….it is all in there!!

What about the 5 year old who is brought across the border by his parents and lives here his or her whole life. Why should they be punished and sent back to their home country?

As long as anyone is rewarded for breaking our immigration laws, the problem will only get worse. We absolutely have to remove the reward from each and every person who broke the law. The “home free” mentality that prevails when an illegal immigrent reaches an American city, needs to be replaced by a “they’re going to get you sooner or later, and when they do, you’re going to lose everything you gained by breaking the law” mentality. That’s the only way to stop the flow of illegal immigrents in to this country. It’s supposed to be painful for them. If we must have immigration, let’s force those who are here illegally to return to Mexico, while allowing those in to the US who wait in line properly on the other side of the boader until they are officially granted access in to the US. Also, these cries of broken families are about families that are broken only by their own choices, not by the US government. Mexico will allow American citizens and those who have attained legal residency in the US, to live within its borders. Anyone who splits up a family over immigration is actually splitting up the family because some family members value their financial prosperity in the US, more than they value living with their other family members in Mexico. As long as immigration reform is about amnesty of any kind (allowing any reward of any kind for those who broke the law), the American people will not support it. When comprehensive immigration is about enforcement that is effective at stopping the flow of crime and poverty in to our country, then the American people will support comprehensive immigration reform.
